The idea for "Perfect 21" is understanding what the cards you can't see likely are. There are 4 tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings and therefore odds are when you can't see a card, it is a card valued at ten. If you play like the unseen cards are valued at ten, you are taking the biggest step to playing "Perfect 21".

Basic Tips
-Do not use "feelings". "I'm feeling good, hit me!" Only suckers having feelings in a numbers game. Stick to the rules
-Never split 4's, 5's or 10's. Split all other pairs when dealer's upcard is less than 6
-Always split your Aces and 8s, regardless of what card the dealer is showing
-Never take insurance with the possible exception of even money when you have 21
-You should stand on a hard 13 through 16, but only if the card the dealer is showing is a 6 or lower. If the dealer’s showing card is a 7 through an Ace, you should hit.
-If the dealer is showing a 4, 5 or a 6, you should stand on a hard 12.
-If the dealer’s showing card is a 2 or a 3, or 7 and higher, you should hit a hard 12.
-You should continue to hit until you have at least 17 if the dealer’s up card is a 10.
-You should hit a soft 17 (Soft means an Ace an a 6 which equals 17 or 7) if the dealer’s up card is a 10.

-If the total of your cards equals 9 or lower you should hit.
-If you have 10 or 11, you should double down, double your bet, that is if your total is more than the dealers upcard, if not just hit. Example, You have 10 and the dealer is showing an 8, double down. You have 10 and the dealer is showing a 10 as well, just hit.
-If you have 12 thru 16, hit when the dealers upcard is 7 or higher, stand the dealer is showing anything smaller than a 7.
-If you have 17 or higher, stand
- If you have a soft 13 - 18, an ace and a 6 make a soft 17, Double down when the dealers upcard is 5 or 6
-Soft 17 or lower, hit
-Soft 19 stand
Never split 4's, 5's or 10's
